Norman's Story

A059024 Norman, intact Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, est. 8 years, 77 pounds
Contact : Calaveras County Animal Services (209) 754-6509
or animal@calaverascounty.gov

Meet Norman! He's a golden boy built like a tank. A tank of love. Norman, the love tank. With a nice, tidy coat the color of our Golden State grasses in summer, and being kinda short in stature, we recommend taking care not to lose him in your meadow. We kid; don't worry too much, his adorable snort-snuffling will give him away. Maybe his Cali Camo coloring is the reason he was found straying over in the Angels Camp area.

Norman exudes that irresistible, calm, big-man-with-nothing-to-prove energy. The paws? Like a lion's! The muscles? Rippling with power! The face? Huuuuge, and usually split by a giant, tongue-lolling grin! And hey, with his broad back, he can double as an ottoman! ?

Norman charms everyone he meets. He takes treats with a gentle mouth. A very large mouth, yes, but very gentle. At an estimated 8 years of age, puppy antics are in this guy's rearview, and we have to say we enjoy that a lot.

We've not had him around cats, so his compatibility with felines is unknown.

Norman keeps his inner and outer kennel quite clean. He appears to have some house training, though of course we can't make guarantees.

Norman is neutered so he can go home with you right away. As always, a meet-and-greet is required if you have other dogs at home.
