Norman's Story

Meet Norman: The King of Cozy & Master of Snacking!

At 14 years young, this 20-pound Terrier mix has officially retired from the hustle and bustle of young pup life to focus on his true passions: high-level napping , warm lap lounging , and being an absolute connoisseur of tasty treats .

Norman is living proof that age is just a number and comfort is a top priority . Being mostly deaf and fairly blind doesn't stop him from knowing exactly what he wants-which is usually to be curled up as close to his favorite human as physically possible . He's a mellow, sweet soul who considers sleeping in bed with you an essential part of his night (and day!) routine .

While he might startle with a sudden movement, bark at a passing cat , or react to an unexpected noise , his daily speed is wonderfully low-key . He's a total gentleman on the leash for easygoing strolls , crate-trained , and mostly house-trained (though he occasionally needs a little grace if he can't beat the clock outside). He's not one for bouncy toys , but give him a good chew toy , and he's in absolute paradise! Norman is choosy about which dog friends he accepts into his circle of trust and simply barks at cats when he sees them.

Norman is looking for a special hero to manage a few senior health needs:
A Heart of Gold (and a murmur): He has a grade 4 heart murmur managed with two simple daily medications .
Skin & Spa Care: He deals with severe allergies that leave him prone to itchy skin and yeast infections . He takes medication for this and thrives with routine medicated baths to keep his coat feeling its absolute best.

Norman doesn't need long hikes or endless games of fetch -he just needs a quiet home , a soft place to land , and a gentle friend to share his golden years .

Norman is neutered , microchipped , fully vaccinated , and up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention . His adoption fee is $100 .

If you're ready to open your heart to a cuddly, snack-loving senior who will gladly be your shadow , fill out an application today to schedule a meet-and-greet with this sweet little man!

Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org
