Nora's Story

Age: 1 year
Gender: Female
Weight: 60lbs
Energy Level: Moderate
Overall Drive: Moderate
Location: North Bend, WA

Nora is friendly, fun, smart, and responsive. She is ready to fill any role in your life, whether that be an exercise buddy, agility competitor, or nosework superstar. She is friendly, learns quickly, and is very food motivated, which makes her a dream to train. She is a testament to the resiliency of rescue dogs and has made leaps and bounds in her foster home.

Nora has loved all humans that she’s met, whether that be visitors to her foster home or strangers she encounters when out on leash. She does well with other dogs but can be an intense player; she’ll likely need guidance and reminding to ensure that her herding behavior is controlled when she is with other dogs. Nora rides well in the car, is learning to be brave around loud noises, and is working on her fear of the vacuum in her foster home. She does not need heavy correction and has learned to walk in a controlled heel using a prong collar. Nora is working on not jumping on people when excited and to control her mouthiness when playing. She is fully crate trained, has mastered basic obedience, and is beginning to work on foundational agility skills and more advanced commands and tricks.

An ideal home for Nora would be one with a family who understands how to reward calm energy. She’d flourish with a family who are looking for an interactive dog who is eager to learn new things. Though she can be active and has a moderate energy level she settles well in her crate. Nora would love to share her forever home with a playful, friendly dog who could continue to make sure she knows polite play behavior. This smart, athletic, people-pleasing girl is ready to say yes to forever, if you’ll just give her a chance!

WEST COAST ADOPTIONS ONLY

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.
Adoption Fee: $400.00.
