Nora's Story
***Nora is a part of our Lonely Hearts Club! Members of this club have their adoption fees cut in half in better hopes of finding them a home! If you are interested in Nora, please consider giving her a home!***

Meet Nora!

Nora is a gorgeous spayed nearly-2 year old Labrador/Heeler mix. She was initially part of an accidental litter, and when her and her siblings starting attacking her owner's sheep they had to find new placements. Now, she is looking for a forever home!

In her previous home, Nora was mainly kept in an outdoor pen with her siblings. Due to this, she hasn't received much training. She has been doing surprisingly well at keeping her kennel clean at the shelter, but she still has accidents and is in no way housebroken. She also doesn't know any commands. She is a very smart girl, though, and the right owner with some patience will be able to get her in tip-top shape!

Nora was kept in a pen along with her fellow littermates and unfortunately the whole litter developed "Littermate Syndrome" and could no longer get along. However, we have successfully been able to introduce Nora to some of our male dogs. Nora loves playing with them, and we think she would do well in a home with a male dog. Nora has absolutely hated any females we've introduced her to. Due to the past issues with the littermates fighting over food, it is important that adopters do not feed her around any other dogs, though. We are still going to require a meet and greet with other dogs just to be absolutely sure your dog is the right match for Nora. Nora cannot go to a home with any cats or livestock, however.

Even though Nora is already 2 years old, she still has plenty of energy! Once she knows you, she is an incredibly loving girl and just wants to stick by your side. She loves to give hugs, and will wrap her paws around you so you can't leave her! She loves to play, too, and would do best with a family that has plenty of free time to keep her entertained.

Nora is such a sweet girl and she definitely deserves a home that will cherish her! If you think Nora could be the dog for you, stop by and meet her today!
