Scituate Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION FEES AND SPAY/NEUTER DEPOSITS are payable by credit/debit card or money order to “Town of Scituate.” Personal checks are accepted from Rhode Island residents only. No cash is accepted. Our adoption-fee range for cats is $50 to $125, and for dogs is $60 to $175, depending on factors such as animal size, age, temperament, and medical status, and other relevant considerations. There is a state-mandated $100 spay/neuter deposit that is to adopt each kitten, and is fully refundable upon proof of spaying/neutering.
