Nina Simone's Story

This is Nina Simone. A terrified pit take from Kern County hoarding situation. So frightened, she can barely walk and ears cut off with scissors, probably a bait dog.

We are working on her fears and think she might do best with a quiet home without small kids. She is really responding well to people and attention and coming out of her shyness. She is curious but cautious and is just so sweet. Even with all her fears, she still wants to check out her surroundings and the people.

Nina's story is a sad one. We are so thankful that she was able to know the love of a family for even just a short time. She didn't die alone and she will truly be missed by us all.

Nina, run and play and we'll see you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
