Nina is a sweet, two year old female Shih Poo (Shih Tzu and Poodle mix). She gets along well with her two foster home siblings, (an alpha female and a sweet boy), and is okay with their older female cat. Nina is young enough to want to play, but her foster siblings are older and don’t care to play, and the cat is just not interested. So it would be great if she could be adopted by a family that has another small playful dog who could be a playmate for Nina.

Nina has a quiet, subdued temperament, but she will bark with the other dogs when someone walks by the house. She loves to walk, and she likes to walk fast! She has also learned to eat fast, since the other dogs do.

Nina is still quite shy. She likes to sit next to a person, but not really on a lap. She still is skittish about anyone picking her up. Even though she has been with her foster family awhile, she has not yet really relaxed about being picked up and held. This is usually indicative of how the dog was treated in her previous home, so we are guessing that Nina did not get much positive attention. Nina’s previous family included several children and she may not have been handled very gently. Her foster parents think she would do well in a home with another small dog and she would do best in a home with adults and older children.

Nina is healthy, spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $420.00 plus $31.61 sales tax for a total of $451.61. Her foster parents would like her adoptive home to be within 75 miles of the Twin Cities.
