Looking for a loyal dog that dotes on you?<br/><br/>Nike is a sweet, playful 2 year old Shepsky in need of a home. The shelter was going to put him down due to length-of-stay... when the shelter is out of space, they go for the timid dogs first.<br/><br/>Nike is a tender-hearted, sensitive boy who doesn't want trouble. In the shelter environment, he'd cower in the back of his kennel so no one would even ask about him. He shouldn't lose his life over simply being shy...so we're giving him a second chance to be noticed. Once he comes out of his shell, he shows off his goofy, zoomie side. It's clear someone was very mean to Nike as a puppy, and he deserves a committed adopter he can bond to and cherish for the rest of his life. <br/><br/>When he's playful, he'll race around the yard with the other dogs in boarding. When he's relaxing, he loves having his face massaged. He is crate trained and unfortunately spending a lot of time in his kennel as he finishes up with heartworm treatment. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and fully vetted. <br/><br/>He is in boarding in Austin TX and looking for a foster or adopter. We do allow for out-of-state adoption, for the right match. <br/><br/>We cannot continue our mission to save death row dogs in Texas unless we process more adoptions.
