Nightmare Before Xmas Pups's Story
Meet the Nightmare Before Christmas Pups. Please read the entire post.

These babies ended up at the shelter at just days old without a mama. They just over seven weeks old. We had two fosters that bottle fed them and they have grown and thrived and are doing awesome. So hard for babies without a mama, but we think we’ve done it. We would like to start the adoption process, even though they’re not quite ready to go to new homes.

There are four boys and one girl. A DNA test was done a little over a week ago, but we have not gotten the results back yet. It is our guess that they are some sort of little Chi mix. The Puppies all weigh between 3.3 and 4 pounds at seven weeks old.

They are typical puppies and love to play, run in the yard, get into things, etc…. They are babies and still working on potty training. They were given their first DHPP, microchip and dewormer as well as a complete grooming on 10/20/25.
They are absolutely adorable and have lots of energy.
The puppies love companion so it would be ideal to adopt them to a home with other dogs. They also absolutely love the yard so this would be nice but because we think they will not get very big it isn’t necessarily mandatory. It is our guess that they’ll be around 20 pounds but of course we can’t be certain. They also require attention and can’t be left home alone for long hours. I know people work, however, it just isn’t fair to a puppy to leave a puppy home alone for eight hours or more.
The adoption fee is $ 300 which includes their first vaccine, dewormer and microchip. You will be responsible for following their vaccine and deworming schedule with your vet. You’ll also be responsible for spay/neuter when the time comes….. they are much too young now. We recommend a minimum of six months old, but some vets even recommend longer and we will leave this to you and your vet. This is not included in the adoption fee and you will also be required to pay a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit that will be returned to you when the baby is spayed/neutered.
If you are interested in one of these babies, please fill out an application on our website. That is the first step. Someone will get back to you within a few days. No calls or inquiries. We will respond to your application as soon as we can.

Please submit an application at our website

https://www.dachshundsandfriends.org/
