Nico's Story

Nico's Ready for His Second Chance! Meet Nico - a sweet, medium-sized mixed breed pup who's about 1 year old and ready to start the next chapter of his life. Nico was found as a stray and transferred into our care from animal control. When he first arrived, he was extremely skinny and missing much of the fur on his back due to a flea allergy. With some love and care, Nico has made an incredible recovery and is now healthy, happy, and eager to meet his forever family! Nico may have a bit of husky in him, and he definitely has that adventurous spirit. He's playful, curious, and so excited for all the fun life has to offer. Nico is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped - all he's missing is a family to share his love with. After everything he's been through, Nico deserves a home where he'll always be safe, cared for, and loved. Could that home be yours?

Heal Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

If you are interested in any of our adoptable animals, please call or email the shelter at 724-925-2555 or info@healanimalrescue.org to schedule a time for a meet and greet with the animal of which you are interested. You will also need to fill out an adoption application. Our shelter staff and adoption counselors will review your information to see if you are a good match for the pet you have selected. Please allow yourself about an hour to have the proper time to spend with an adoption counselor to discuss the responsibility of owning your specific pet and making a lifetime commitment. Please remember our number one goal and priority is finding FOREVER homes for the dogs and cats in our care and matching the right pet with the right home environment. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption. Some pets receive multiple applications and we do our best to sort through to find the absolute best match possible.
