Nico's Story

ADOPTION OF A PUPPY UNDER 9 MONTHS OF AGE

The dog you are interested in is a puppy (under one year of age). Puppies are typically placed into their new homes on a foster-to-adopt basis until he or she is old enough to be spayed or neutered. Our general preference is for puppies to be no younger than 7 months old for females and 9 months old for males at the time of sterilization.

However, if a puppy is rescued directly from a shelter, we may be required to spay or neuter the puppy at an earlier age in order to comply with shelter policies and to maintain our rescue partnerships. In these cases, the procedure will be completed prior to adoption, even if it is earlier than our preferred timeline.

Homes with pools must demonstrate that puppies can be safely restricted from pool access through appropriate fencing or a secure pool cover.

Additional puppy vaccinations will be required and will be coordinated by Saving Paws Rescue AZ (SPR). Vaccines may be administered in the adopter’s home by an SPR volunteer or completed by the adopter at an SPR-approved veterinary facility.

Puppies often have multiple potential adopters. SPR carefully evaluates each application to determine the best possible match based on the puppy’s current needs and anticipated needs as they grow.

Meet Nico – A Sweet Soul Looking for His Forever Home

Nico is an adorable White German Shepherd puppy, born on August 20, 2025. From the moment you meet him, it is impossible not to fall in love with his gentle nature and loving personality.

Nico is the true sweetheart of his litter. He is happiest when he is close to his people—whether that means soaking up cuddles, following you from room to room, or simply sitting nearby feeling safe and loved. He has a calm, affectionate presence and already shows the loyal qualities German Shepherds are known for.

This handsome boy is social, curious, and continuing to learn about the world around him. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is growing more confident every day as he experiences new sights, sounds, and adventures. Like all puppies, Nico will benefit from continued training, structure, and patience as he grows into the amazing dog he is meant to be.

Nico is looking for an indoor forever home where he can be part of the family, build a strong bond with his people, and continue learning what it means to be loved and secure.

If you are searching for a loyal companion with a soft heart and a sweet soul, Nico may be the perfect addition to your family.

If you can give Nico an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application at:
http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/

Meet and greets are scheduled only with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization, so please allow a few days for application processing and reference checks.

Thank you for your interest in saving the life of a puppy and providing a FOREVER home.
