Newbie's Story

Newbie was rescued from the streets of Cancun, Mexico. Was socialized at a private shelter there, then came to the US. He is very sweet. He's dark-colored so it's tough to get good photos of him; the photos don't do him justice. He gets along with everybody. He was jumping on me at first (and on the screen door) but we have made a lot of progress there. He will occasionally put his paws on the counter but he's learning. He is well-behaved. He is nervous in the car, I would recommend crating him for journeys. He pulls a bit on the leash (needs some work). We think he's about two. He is full size. I would recommend getting his DNA. Then let us know! He loves new people, meets new dogs with eagerly. He's easygoing but he growls when he plays. He's crate trained. He adapted well to his new situation here at Lake Tahoe. When I leave, he goes in his crate, and also at night. Our adoption fee helps cover PART of our costs. We are a very small organization doing this out of the love of the dogs and a strong desire to help street dogs in Mexico. The situation there is dire. Please text Toree 775.772.9452 for more info! He's waiting for you.
