Nevada's Story

Nevada is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club - this means she has been at the shelter for over 30 days, and her adoption fee is now discounted. Stop by to meet Nevada today and give her a second chance at a forever home!

**Nevada is a manager approval adoption. These adoption can occur Tuesday-Friday from 1-4 PM while a manager is present, but Nevada is still available to meet on the weekends. Please contact us with any questions.**

Meet Nevada! Like a gentle snowfall on a quiet winter morning, Nevada brings peace wherever she goes. Nevada is a spayed female American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and we believe she is roughly 1 year old. Her name, which mean "snowy" or "snow-covered" in Spanish, suits her perfectly. From her soft white coat sprinkled with delicate black spots to her calm, kind spirit, we knew this would be the perfect name for her!

Though she was found as a stray, Nevada has quickly shown us her sweet gentle heart. She keeps her space tidy, greets everyone with softness in her eyes, and has that quiet magic about her. We are still learning more about her each day, but due to her being a stray we do not know her background. Nevada has met some kids at the shelter and has done well with them, but she doesn't like if strangers grab at her face, so she should be given time to get used to all of her new family members. We have tried to introduce Nevada to multiple other dogs, and she has never liked any of them. AT this point, it seems like she is perfectly happy being a single dog. We are requiring that any dog in the home be brought out to meet Nevada before we approve any adoption, but it is likely that she will just need to be the only dog in the home.

One thing is for certain - Nevada's heart is as pure as freshly fallen snow. If you're looking for a companion who embodies warmth in the middle of winter, Nevada might just be your forever snow angel! Stop by to meet our sweet Nevada today!
