Nessie #3's Story
Nessie #3 — A Heart Ready for Her Forever Home.

Some dogs have a way of touching your soul the moment you meet them — and Nessie is one of those rare, gentle spirits. At 5 years old, this beautiful yellow Labrador Retriever has finished her time as a mama and is finally ready to live a life that’s just for her. And oh, does she deserve it. Nessie is pure love wrapped in sunshine. She leans into you as if she’s been waiting her whole life for that touch — as if every cuddle fills a space in her heart she never knew could be full.

Her foster dad, who has cared for more than 40 dogs, says she just might be the most adorable one he’s ever met. One look into her soft eyes and it’s easy to understand why. Even with all that sweetness, Nessie has a spark that makes her unforgettable. She prances around with her toys, tail wagging in a joyful blur. She could chase a tennis ball from the lake a thousand times and still come back with that happy, hopeful grin — the kind that makes you laugh without even trying. She has such a gentle spirit. She meets new people politely, walks calmly at your side, and has the kind of steady, trusting presence that makes you feel lucky just to share space with her. She’s been housebroken, reliable when left uncrated, and comfortable with other dogs — taking her time to ease into play, just like a thoughtful, kind soul would. Nessie is the kind of dog who will curl up beside you and make the world feel softer. She’s playful, silly, sweet, and a little bit sassy — a perfect mix of joy and comfort.

If you’re looking not just for a pet, but for a companion who will love you with her whole heart, Nessie might be your girl. She’s waited her turn. She’s ready and she’ll give back every ounce of love you offer her — and then some.

For additional information about Nessie #3 please email Ann Hilchey: ann.hilchey@labs4rescue.org

Nessie is being fostered in New England.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We receive many questions about our adoption process from potential adopters, most of which can be answered by viewing our "Adopt a Lab" page on our full service website, (https://labs4rescue.com/adopt).
