Nessi's Story

Ever wonder whether good things come in small packages? They do but even better things come in great 31 lb. packages. And her name is Nessi, a golden hued mixed breed sweetheart searching for her forever home.Nessi is one year old, has the soul of a gentle explorer and the heart of a loyal best friend. Her early days were not the easiest, but her future is glowing brighter every single day. With the help of playtime with other canine friends and patient guidance from her new family, her confidence will keep blossoming, and she will continue to learn that the world is full of kindness. As Nessi continues to find her inner confidence and she will need a family that will allow her to have the time and space to acquire her full confidence. Due to her level of insecurity, she would do best in a home with no children or older children that can be respectful when she needs space. She thrives with canine friends, and her confidence grows with having other dogs around her. She has not had any interactions with cats since coming into rescue but has shown strong prey drive. We do know that she will melt your heart with her affection and make you laugh with her joyful toy playing antics. Nessi loves outdoor adventures, but she is equally delighted to curl up for cozy snuggle time.Nessi is crate trained and house trained. She does well on leash except for when she gets startled outdoors, she will pull to hide. If you are looking for a small dog with a big heart, a companion who brings sweetness, courage, and a touch of silliness, Nessi might just be the perfect match.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Nessi is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
