Meet Nelson!<br/>Nelson is an 8-month-old lab mix with a mysterious past — rumor has it he trekked all the way up from Naco, Mexico, carrying nothing but his charm and a dream.<br/><br/>This sweet boy is a total softie at heart, but new things can be a little spooky for him. We’re helping Nelson learn that the world (and humans!) aren’t as scary as they seem. He’s currently working hard on building confidence, mastering those leash skills, and figuring out this whole “being a dog” thing.<br/><br/>One thing he’s already an expert at? Making canine friends! Nelson lights up around other friendly dogs who can show him the ropes. We’re not sure yet how he feels about cats, but he definitely loves people — he just needs a moment to warm up.<br/><br/>Nelson is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he’s looking for a patient, gentle home where he can continue to blossom.
