Nelly's Story

Exceptionally sweet dog looking for their person.

We are looking for a kind, loving person or family for our foster dog Nelly. Will only consider someone in Texas or Oklahoma who can meet Nelly and will spend some trial afternoons or days with her. Nelly had a rough start in life as a puppy and can be shy at first when she meets new people. We want to make going to a new home easier for her. Adopter will be rewarded with an absolutely awesome dog.

Please share if you know someone who might be Nelly's person.

?Nelly has been waiting more than 200 days for her forever family?

She came into rescue as a puppy and is now growing up here—something no dog should have to do ?

Nelly is a very kind, calm, affectionate dog and so deserving of a home to call her own.

She is great with other dogs, and she likes cats! She loves belly rubs, playing with her friends, and being outside and hanging out in the yard.

She also loves water - she goes in our pond every morning on her own and swims a few rounds ???

Nelly would make a good ranch dog. She is smart and has some latent herding drive that could be reinforced if someone wants to work with their dog but she will also do just as great as a family dog.

Nelly is shy at first but once she knows someone she is the most loyal, loving dog that you can imagine.

We know that somewhere there is a special someone for Nelly who will be a bit patient and give her some time to come out of her shell. They will be rewarded with a truly special dog that wants to form a close bond with her humans but is also independent, very calm, and easy to handle.

Let’s not let her spend another day waiting.
