He walks a little funny, but his spirit shines brighter than ever. He is amazing with adults, teenagers, and little kids, and he is just as sweet with other dogs and even cats. After surviving life on the streets, nothing seems to rattle him, not traffic, thunderstorms, or even fireworks. What he loves is his daily walk, though he prefers to keep his distance if other dogs approach while he is on leash. At home, he is the most easygoing companion, happily sharing his toys, food bowl, and even his favorite nap spot with his four-legged foster siblings. In the car, he may start out a little anxious, but once he realizes it means adventure, he relaxes and enjoys the ride. Negro has also shown he can stay home alone for up to 8 hours without ever being destructive. He is even learning his manners and now responds to “sit” and his absolute favorite phrase: “let’s go for a walk.” His goofy side makes him extra lovable, like when he decides to eat lying flat on the floor, which never fails to crack up his foster mom.
