Natalie's Story

~ THE MIRACLE PUPPY IS READY TO BE LOVED
Their mom lived a difficult life. She had a family, but they had very little and thus, she had very little. They were a kind family and loved her, but when you have nothing, everything is hard. She mostly lived on the street, got pregnant, had puppies and it stretched the situation beyond. They looked for help and found us. The mom and 5 puppies were picked up and taken to the vet for all the normal tests. The first is always distemper, and as soon as momma tested positive, we knew we were in trouble. She wasn’t showing any symptoms so maybe, just maybe, there was a chance. Distemper is very contagious, we knew the puppies had been exposed, and the family needed a place to fight. There was no space, but Claudia always makes magic happen and she did it again. She cleared out the home where smaller, younger and sick fosters normally stay so there was a quarantine area to receive them. They got all the best treatment possible – a special serum that is costly but helps greatly in the fight along with immune support medication. We did all we could and then we waited…three precious puppies did not make it, but mom Esmeralda and two puppies did (celebrate the victories!). Natalie is one of the two lucky survivors. Against all odds, she fought…… and she won.

Natalie is about 10 months old, weighs around 13 kilos, and is a beautiful Labrador mix.

Natalie loves everyone, women, men, and people of all ages. She adores playing with children, gets along beautifully with other dogs at the shelter, and even does perfectly well with cats. Loud noises and heavy traffic don’t bother her at all, making her a great companion for both quiet neighborhoods and busier areas. She walks nicely on a leash, stays calm when passing other dogs on the street, and has good manners. Natalie is happy to share food and toys and spends her days joyfully playing with her foster friends. Natalie is a fighter, a survivor, and a reminder of how powerful love and care can be. Now, this brave little girl is ready for the next chapter of her life: a safe, loving forever home where she’ll never know hunger, fear, or abandonment again. She’s sweet, balanced, social, and ready to fit right into a loving home.

Natalie’s adoption fee is $550, which includes her flight, spay, vaccinations, and full vetting.
