Nara's Story
Nara’s story begins alongside her sister, Joy. The two were found living in a homeless encampment, surviving day by day with no one to call their own. When we met them, it was clear they didn’t belong to anyone — just two young girls trying to stay safe together in a world that had forgotten them.

We brought them in, got them both spayed, vaccinated, and ready for new beginnings. Now about a year old, Nola has shown herself to be bright, gentle, and affectionate, with a soft, trusting heart. She can be shy when meeting new people, but her tail soon starts to wag once she feels comfortable.

Nara would do best in a home where her person is home often and can offer her steady companionship and patience as she continues to learn what it means to be loved and secure. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would enjoy having a confident canine friend to help guide her. We haven’t seen her around cats, so her reaction is unknown.

Like her sister, Nara has lived mostly outdoors, so she may need some gentle guidance with potty training as she settles into home life. She hasn’t been around children yet, but we expect she’d be fine with calm, respectful kids aged seven and up.

After everything she’s overcome, Nara is ready for a home that will give her the safety and love she’s been waiting for — a place where she’ll finally belong.
