Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. <br/>Nanuk is a one year old Labrador Retriever (or a very close mix) with a gorgeous creamy coat and a heart full of love. He is the perfect mix of sweet, silly and playful - the kind of a dog who will make you laugh every day with his goofy personality and a big happy smile. He loves toys, treats and other dogs, in any order at all and with equal enthusiasm. This handsome boy had a rough start. He was found with another pup who was sadly very sick with parvo and was euthanized at intake in the county shelter. Nanuk was quarantined at the shelter and during his quarantine he caught kennel cough. Sadly sick pups do not have much of a chance at getting out of the shelter, so we took him in to give him a chance to heal and find his forever home. Now 3 weeks later, he is happy and healthy and ready to embrace all the good things life has to offer. This little boy is only 55 lbs so he is on the smaller, more manageable side. He will need a home ready to train and exercise as labs stay very puppy like till at least 2 years of age, but he is so sweet, submissive with other dogs and loves to play. <br/>Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested in may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates.<br/>If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please visit our main website for adoption procedures at www.pupsandpals.net and then fill out our application. We do not have a shelter/kennel. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. <br/>This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some cases a home check. <br/>Listed for adoption: 10/20/25<br/>Adoption fee: $400<br/>PLEASE DO NOT call or email to see if a pet is available.
