Nanook's Story
Nanook needs a new home!
Nanook is an 8-year-old spayed female Husky / Pitbull / Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, weighing about 50 lbs, with unforgettable blue eyes and a deeply loving nature. She has been part of our family for nearly six years after coming to us from Texas through a Denver adoption agency. Although her early history is unknown, Nanook has blossomed into a loyal, affectionate companion who truly adores people. She is smart, eager to please, and enjoys having a job to do—especially when that job is loving her humans. Nanook greets her people at the door every day, rests her head gently on a knee when she wants affection, and happily settles in for couch cuddles and belly rubs. She loves outdoor adventures, particularly in the snow and in nature, and thrives when she can spend time close to her people.

Nanook is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. She is gentle, submissive, and incredibly sweet with people, but she is reactive toward some other dogs and needs to be the only pet in the home. She would do best in a calm, structured environment with a securely fenced yard or in a more remote setting where she won’t have to encounter other dogs, and in a home without children. Nanook’s ideal home is one where she can relax, feel safe, and be someone’s whole world. She is a truly special dog who deserves a peaceful, loving home where her loyalty and affection can be returned in full.
