Nanna's Story
FAST FACTS:
* 1 Years Old & 39lbs
* Dog Friendly
* Working On Potty Training
* Sweet, Affectionate, Puppyish Manners

Nanna is a fun, affectionate girl who enjoys the company of other dogs. She likes a little wrestling with her dog friends but is just as happy lounging nearby or playing with toys together. Toys are definitely her favorite — she’ll happily play by herself, with another dog, or bring one over so a person can join in.

She’s currently working on potty training. Overnight can be tough with the long 12-hour stretch when everyone is gone, so she still has occasional accidents, but they’re becoming less frequent. With time, consistency, and a routine, she’s continuing to make progress.

Nanna is crate trained, though she may take a few minutes to settle in at first. Once she relaxes she does well, but when people arrive she’ll definitely let you know she’s ready to come out and greet them.

Because she still has some puppy energy, Nanna would do best with older kids. She can get a little mouthy when she’s excited or playing, which is typical puppy behavior but may be a bit much for younger children.

Her energy level is a nice medium balance. She loves to play — especially if toys are involved — but after a good play session she’s perfectly happy curling up on the couch for snuggles and belly rubs. She’s also still getting used to walks and will need encouragement and some leash training to help build her confidence.

Nanna does enjoy chewing and being a bit mouthy, so having plenty of toys available and redirecting her to them is important. She would likely thrive in a home with another dog, as she seems happiest when she has a canine companion around.

Training would be a great bonding experience for Nanna and her future family. She’s a sweet, playful girl who will love learning with her people — especially if treats are involved. With a little guidance and a lot of love, she’s going to make a wonderful companion.
