NAMI's Story

Meet Nami! ?? This 3-year-old sweetheart came to us as a stray after her finder spotted her along a busy road while visiting family. When a microchip was discovered, we were hopeful that a reunion with her family would soon follow. Unfortunately, the number listed on her chip was no longer in service, and the microchip company confirmed that her previous owner—who had only adopted her in October 2024—could not be reached. While she was featured on our website during her stray hold, no one came forward to reclaim her. With that chapter closed, we’re now focused on helping Nami find the loving, dependable forever family she truly deserves. ?? We don’t know much about her past, but we do know this: she is an absolute joy! Nami was recently tested with a similar-sized spayed female, and she did wonderfully. She approached with friendly curiosity, tail wagging non-stop, and her playful energy shined. This little muscular cutie has a big heart and an even bigger enthusiasm for making new friends. Now fully vetted—including being spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives—Nami is officially ready for adoption and ready to start fresh. ?? If you’d like to meet this adorable little “body-builder” of a pup, please stop by the shelter! As always, we recommend meet-and-greets with any dogs and children in the home to ensure a great fit for everyone. And don’t forget the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet—it helps set everyone up for success! 3 days to decompress (overwhelmed), 3 weeks to learn routines and start feeling safe (showing personality), and 3 months (or longer) to fully relax, bond, and feel like they belong!!
