Nala - COMING SOON

Nala is a 4 year old Chihuahua mix. She is up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed and heartworm tested negative.<br/><br/>In the first year of her life, Nala lived in a crate and was neglected. She went to a second home, but due to long work hours, her new owners decided it would be best for Nala if she was able to find a new home where she would get the attention she deserved.<br/><br/>Nala is a very nervous girl when first meeting someone and has trust issues. She will need a home where her new family will need to understand that it may take a while for her to get comfortable and feel secure with them. Everything will need to be slow for her. She is fearful of fast movements and loud noises so a home with older children or no children would be best. <br/><br/>Once Nala gets to know you, she loves to snuggle with you and pull paw at your hand for more petting. She loves to play in the yard with the other dogs in the rescue. Having another dog in the home is security to her. This will help her learn to trust people and will help to build her confidence. It will also give her someone she can watch and learn from. For these reasons, another small breed dog will be required for her.<br/><br/>Due to her insecurities, and being a high flight risk, Nala will require a physical fenced yard (sorry, no invisible fences, tie outs or kennels).<br/><br/>If you are interested in meeting Nala, she will be at Pet Supplies Plus in Howell (2649 E. Grand River) on Sundays from 11-2 at our Meet and Greet event.<br/><br/>It is helpful for you to bring pictures and/or videos of your backyard fenced area.
