Nala Bean's Story

Meet Nala Bean

Nala Bean is a 5‑year‑old, 12‑lb mixed breed who is looking for a very special home to give her the second chance she truly deserves.

She was surrendered to ACCT Philly when her owner said they didn’t have enough time for her, and unfortunately, it seems like Nala Bean hasn’t had the easiest life so far. Her previous owner provided very little information, though noted she is mostly crate trained, high energy, and can be anxious.

After leaving the shelter, Nala Bean was briefly adopted but returned just a few weeks later after an incident where she bit after being overly stimulated. Because of this, we knew she needed a rescue willing to look deeper, move slowly, and give her the opportunity to feel safe, and that’s exactly what we’ve done.

With our volunteers, Nala Bean has shown a much softer side. She can be timid at first and prefers when people go slow, but once she’s given time to decompress and build trust, she reveals just how sweet and affectionate she truly is. She enjoys gentle interactions and clearly wants to connect — she just needs someone to meet her where she is. She is still a bit sensitive with handling around her neck, so patience and understanding will be key in helping her continue to build confidence.

Nala Bean is looking for a calm, patient, adult‑only home that will give her the time, structure, and reassurance she’s been missing. With the right person, we believe she has so much love to give and plenty of potential to continue blossoming.

If you’re someone who understands that the best relationships take time and that second chances can be the most rewarding, Nala Bean may be waiting just for you.

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped.

She would need to meet any resident dogs.

If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com
Her adoption fee is $400.

Phoenix Animal Rescue
Chester Springs, PA
Kennel License #5152
