Nala's Story
Nala’s story is one of resilience and love. She was surrendered to the shelter after being found as a stray with her 7 puppies. When she first arrived, she was extremely malnourished—her hair was falling out, and her ribs, spine, and hip bones were all visible. On top of that, she was battling mastitis.

But through it all, Nala’s gentle spirit never wavered. She has loved every single person she’s met here at the shelter. She is very sweet, doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, and so far has ignored our cats.

Nala is still working on her kennel manners and sometimes has accidents, but she’s eager to learn and improve with a patient family. Nala walks pretty well on a leash and knows how to sit. She will be spayed before adoption and has already been brought up to date on her vaccines.

This happy girl’s tail never stops wagging—in fact, in most of her pictures her tail is just a blur from pure joy!
