Somehow, Nala is still waiting.<br/>We've written Nala's bio before.<br/>We've shared her pictures.<br/>We've told you how sweet she is.<br/>We've told you about her obsession with tennis balls.<br/>We've watched people say, “She's beautiful!” and “I can't believe nobody has adopted her!”<br/>And yet...<br/>Nala is still here.<br/>On September 25th, Nala will officially have spent THREE YEARS in rescue. <br/>She originally came to us as a mama with puppies. Nala did her job beautifully she raised her babies, watched every one of them find their families, and then waited for somebody to choose her.<br/>And waited.<br/>Since then, she's watched foster friends come and go. She's watched dogs arrive after her and leave before her. She's watched adoption announcements happen over and over again.<br/>For 1,086 days, Nala has been somebody's foster dog.<br/>We desperately want her to finally be somebody's forever dog. <br/>And truly, we don't understand why she keeps getting overlooked.<br/>Nala is around 5–6 years old, which means she's reached that MAGICAL age where she's old enough to be over most of the youthful nonsense but young enough to happily remind you that you should probably get off the couch. <br/>Especially if there's a tennis ball involved.<br/> Nala. LOVES. Tennis balls. <br/>Fetch isn't merely a recreational activity. It's a lifestyle. A hobby. Possibly a minor personality disorder. Give this girl a ball and a yard and prepare to witness an athlete at work.<br/>But underneath our fetch champion is an incredibly sweet girl.<br/>Nala can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but give her a chance to realize you're safe and you'll discover a cuddly, loyal, deeply devoted dog who absolutely adores her people.<br/>She's also:<br/> House trained<br/> Kennel trained<br/> Good with large dogs<br/>No small dogs or cats - prey drive <br/> Happy to share her toys<br/> Sweet, affectionate and loyal<br/> Playful enough to keep you moving<br/> Mature enough to understand that we do not need chaos 24/7<br/> Requires a fenced yard <br/>Because Nala came from a situation where food wasn't always guaranteed, she does best being fed separately from other dogs.
