Meet Nacho, a handsome 3-year-old Lab/German Shepherd mix who needs a hero. Nacho is currently at a shelter with max capacity and will be euthanized if he cannot find a forever home. About Nacho: Age: 3 years Breed: Lab/German Shepherd Mix Kids: Lived with 4 small children for 3 years but may be too big and unpredictable for young children. House-trained: Yes Other animals: Lived with cats and dogs. He is afraid of dogs at first but then loves to play. His play style may be too much for small or senior dogs. Nacho has some special considerations that his new family should be prepared for. Like many devoted pets, he experiences some separation anxiety, though this has shown improvement when he has canine companionship. He's an energetic boy who thrives with regular exercise and structured activity - something he hasn't been getting enough of lately. With positive reinforcement training and consistency, we believe Nacho will flourish. Currently, he's quite stressed in the shelter environment, which isn't showing his true personality. The ideal home for Nacho would be with an active family who can commit to giving him the exercise and mental stimulation he needs.
