Meet Mylo
After being surrendered to the shelter because of his medical condition, he was medically alerted for a suspected mass in his left ear, requiring a possible ablation. He had to be saved by 2/9 at 4PM, which we could not believe; volunteers had become quite smitten with this fella because of his sweet and playful personality. Everyone was heartbroken that he was out of time, but because of a committed foster, we were able to step in and scoop Mylo up!
When Mylo first went to our vet, he had to be sedated to assess the damage to his ear because he was in SO much pain. While our doctor was able to scope the full ear, and even though no mass was detected, cartilage was seen closing the ear canal with a severe infection and the ear itself is very deformed.
After months of antibiotics and vet visits, Mylo is finally starting to feel a bit of relief from his horribly painful ear. And because he has been able to relax a bit, his personality has started to blossom beautifully! His foster has told us time and time again that Mylo is the "easiest, most chill, sweetest foster" he has ever had the pleasure of having.
Seriously, Mylo is the man: he can hang out in his crate for long periods of time with no issues; he is great in the car, both for short and long trips; he gets along with larger and smaller breeds of dogs quite well; he loves to love his human, and adores cuddling up to his people; he loves to play, and loves being outside as often as he can get out to it. Seriously, like, how is he so wonderful AND single?!
Mylo is quite the big boy, weighing about 80 pounds, so RGR is recommending a house versus an apartment for this special boy, preferably with a large yard for him to lounge in and explore! He will also need an active home who can keep him mentally and physically exercised regularly, but honestly, with how phenomenal this dog is, you won't be able to keep yourself away from hanging with him, we guarantee it!
