Myles's Story
Meet Mister Myles.

He didn't come to as a stray but a very beloved dog, living with cats and kids and an owner who did not want to give him up but had no home anymore to keep him at. A sad reality for a sensitive dog. Once he has warmed up to his people, he is a LOVE bug but it will take some time for him to open up and even take pets from a new person. Treats help bridge that gap, Myles is a big time foodie. He can sit & lay down, some times opting for laying down instead of a sit when you ask. He has met dogs at KCAS and will saunter up to other dogs in their kennels loose bodied and interested - but in playing, it seems he hasn't had dog buddies before coming here and lacks some play etiquette. Nothing some patience and the right play friend couldn't help with.

Myles MAIN GOAL is PLAYING!! He loves to play tug and you can tell his previous owner played very physically with him. He needs some help keeping it appropriate, he's a hype man! Myles is going to need someone patient, willing to work WITH him, not a lot of random foot traffic and due to being cooped up at the shelter, an adult household would be recommended. He gets big time zoomies and has won over some staffs hearts due to his personality.

He lays quietly in his kennel, loves chewing on his toys next to you and lounging on a dog bed with an edible chew bone.

With time and effort, he will easily be the right persons heart dog. If you understand the special bond that can form with time, care, treats and mutual respect and this sounds like a match for you, come meet Myles. Maybe a few times even so he warms up and shows you his awesome personality.
