Murray's Story

Hi… I’m Murray.
DOB 1-7-24. Large terrier mix. Professional tail-wagger. Full-time optimist.
I’m a fun-loving, sweet boy who genuinely loves life. I get along great with other dogs (friends are the best, right?) and I absolutely adore people. Big humans, little humans, all the humans. If you’re near me, I’m happy.
I walk great on a leash — right by your side like we’ve been a team forever. Car rides? Oh yes please. I’ll happily load up and be your co-pilot anywhere. And even though I’m a big guy… I fully believe I’m a lap dog. Your lap is safe with me. I will gently climb in and rest my head on you like it’s my favorite place in the world.
My past wasn’t always kind. I came in with a severely embedded collar. It hurt, and it took time to heal. But here’s the thing about me… I didn’t let it harden my heart. My neck is healing beautifully now, and so am I.
I chose forgiveness.
I chose to trust again.
I chose love.
I don’t look backward anymore. I’m looking forward — to soft beds, kind hands, long walks, and a family who will see me not for what happened to me, but for who I am.
And who I am is this:
Loyal. Gentle. Playful. Loving. Grateful.
I overcame my past. Now I’m ready for my future.
Maybe it’s with you?
He is in a foster home, so if you are interested in adopting please apply using the link provided below!
