Murphy is an 8 year old, 7 lb Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a love for cozy beds. His mama recently passed away, and while his world has changed, this little lapdog still has so much love to give. Murphy is happiest curled up beside his person, drifting off to sleep after snuggles and belly rubs. He loves riding in the car with his nose to the window, and he never turns down a treat or a warm, comfy spot to settle into.<br/><br/>He is wonderful with kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes, though he prefers calmer canine friends who match his gentle energy. Murphy can be shy at first, but once he trusts you, he bonds deeply and enjoys following his person around. He listens beautifully<br/><br/>and thrives with routine. He is crate trained, does well left loose in the home, and is potty trained when given regular outings, especially after meals.<br/><br/>He’s freshly groomed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested, and just had a dental with 6 teeth removed. He arrived to us already neutered and microchipped, and he’s now ready to start his next chapter. A calm, peaceful home would be the perfect fit for this sweet boy who is truly past his party days and simply wants love, comfort, and a safe place to call his own.<br/><br/>Murphy’s adoption donation is $225. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
