Murphy is a male Shih-tzu estimated age about 6 years old<br/>Murphy and 4 other Shih-tzu's were surrendered to Prairie Paws. <br/>They were living in an unheated barn and eating feed corn.<br/>Murphy and the others were severely matted and the personalities who had them was trying to groom them. In the process of cutting out matted hair they cut too close to the skin. This caused sores and infections. Murphy has been to the vet and on antibiotics for infection and will be professionally groomed once sores heal<br/>Murphy is in a foster home with a family with other small dogs.<br/>He has some separation anxiety. The foster family is working with the vet to get himnin medicine for anxiety. Murphy doesn't like to be in a kennel and will bark non stop. Therefore an apartment would not be a good fit for him <br/>Murphy would do well with a family who has time to work with her on potty training, socializing etc.<br/>All medical work is completed prior to adoption including neuter shots worming flea treatment rabies shot micro-chip and vet examination. <br/>Adoption fee is $200 + tax with an approved application. The pre adoption application is available on the website www.prairiepawsrescue.com. <br/>Prairie Paws Rescue does not adopt on a first come basis but who will provide the best home suited to the pets needs
