Murphy Jack Russell Terrier Orange, VA

Murphy is a shy almost 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is full of gentle energy. Murphy was surrendered to us when his owner could no longer care for him.
He is quiet and is scared with all the noise and chaos that comes with shelter life! Murphy is looking for a loving and patient home that will give him time to decompress and find his trust and confidence again. He loves kisses and cuddles, and really enjoys being a lap dog. Murphy is smart and can be a bit shy around new people and other dogs.
Murphy keeps his kennel nice and clean and knows to do all of bathroom business outside so we think with patience and a routine he will settle into the household routines easily!
Murphy previously lived with another dog, we were told he was good with kids but with his shy nature we recommend dog savvy kids that will him the respect he deserves while getting to know a new family! Murphy has never been around cats and is too scared to notice them here at the shelter!
Murphy is neutered, microchipped and is current on all vaccines including rabies. He has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention, heartworm tested (NEGATIVE) and given heartworm prevention.
