Munchkin's Story
We are introducing a very special, sweet girlie, who is now ready for adoption. She prepared a little write-up to let the world know about her cute lil self.

I'm 1 year-old and I weigh 39 pounds... They called me a Munchkin when they found me, and my new name fits me just right. When I was found all alone, the kind vet shared my picture to ask whether a rescue could help me. Midwest Wheaten Rescue and my foster Mom helped. I easily passed the cat and dog tests by ignoring them. I am a little shy when I first meet you, but soon you know I'm silly and I'd rather hug you and sit at your feet. I really like people and other dogs, too.

I've got my shots, I'm spayed, and I'm current on tick, flea, and heartworm prevention. I'm groomed so my coat is soft and pretty. My Aussie Labradoodle (we think) hair is wavy black, and I have a little white tip on my tail. My paws and face were trimmed close when I was recently groomed, but I can sport a little shaggier look as my hair grows out.

I'm a good girl. I know to go straight into my crate when I hear the word "kennel" and I don't mind being there. I stay pretty quiet and don't make a big fuss. I'll surprise you with an inside voice bark if I really gotta go.

I love it when I hear the word "outside". I run to the door. I don't even try to leap the fences here because I've got it so good. I sit when you tell me "sit". I love treats! I run fast around the yard and I especially look for squirrels to chase until any moment I am called back. I especially love to play with my foster siblings.
Please share my profile to help me find my forever home. I'm in Kansas City. Mom would be thrilled to have you meet me, and I'd love to go for another ride!

My ideal home would include a kind person/s who have the time and interest in spending time with me, including me in their lives, and teaching me gently so I can be the best girlie. I love to play, and if my home doesn't already have another pup, it would be pawesome to have some play dates with other pups. A yard that's fenced would be on my wish list, too, so I can play and exercise safely.

If you think sweet Munchkin is the pup you've been looking for, we invite you to complete an adoption application on our website:
https://www.midwestwheatenrescue.org/adoption-info

Please make sure to complete an adoption application, as that is the only way to start our adoption process. Thank you for considering adoption!
