Meet Mummy - A High-Energy, Loyal Companion Looking for the Right Match <br/><br/>Mummy is a smart, playful, and fiercely loyal dog who forms deep bonds with her people-but she needs the right environment to truly thrive. She's not a beginner's dog, but for the right, experienced person, she could be the most devoted companion you'll ever meet.<br/><br/> Personality & Behavior:<br/>Mummy is full of energy and loves to play with toys. She's happiest when she's mentally and physically engaged-and once she's had her exercise, she'll happily settle in with a chew or a nap. While she has no bite history, Mummy does have some behavioral quirks that require ongoing management:<br/><br/>She resource guards toys (with people and dogs) and benefits from consistent trade-up training.<br/>When excited, she may jump with an open mouth-for this reason, we're looking for a home without children.<br/>She's selective with new people, but forms incredibly strong bonds once she trusts you.<br/><br/> With Other Dogs:<br/>Mummy has successfully lived with other dogs in both foster and adoptive homes, but always with structured crate-and-rotate setups and experienced owners. While she won't instantly mesh with every dog, she can coexist well with the right setup and supervision. She's also done best when she's the only dog in the home.<br/><br/> Training:<br/>Mummy completed 10 weeks of professional training at Found in Chicago using an E-collar and knows hand signals. Her adopters continued her training, and while we haven't used the E-collar since her return, we're happy to show you her cues.<br/><br/> Additional Notes:<br/><br/>Potty Training: May need a refresher after returning to shelter life<br/>Leash Work: Walks well with structure; may regress in a new home but responds to treats<br/>Handling: Has made great strides with gear handling (leash/slip lead)<br/>Health: Allergic to chicken (common for white pitties) and has slow-healing scabs from the shelter environment<br/>Emotional Needs: She may resource guard her favorite person from others at first-it's something we've seen with her here<br/><br/> In Summary:<br/>Mummy is not an "easy" dog, but she is deeply special. She needs a calm, structured home with someone who is experienced, patient, and committed.
