Mumford's Story

This adorable fella is Mumford. He's in search of a new home for his golden years. Mumford is a 9.5 years old, about 60lbs, up to date on vaccines and neutered. According to his vet, he couldn’t be a healthier dog from top to bottom. Mumford enjoys walks, hikes, lounging, and has never gotten tired if there’s a game of fetch - ball obsessed is an understatement (he’s also one of the most athletic dogs when it comes to playing catch!) Mumford will be as active or as lazy as you want him to be - from going on 2 mile runs to laying on the couch all day, he’s content just being by your side. He’s had a “little” (Great Dane) sister for the last 1.5 years who has definitely helped keep him more active.

Mumford is great on walks and loves people - humans and kids alike. He would do best in a household as the only pet. He is crate trained and also does fine being left loose in the home. Mumford is located in Benicia, CA. Contact Matt to meet this special boy at mwm5142@gmail.com

California Pit Bull Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you are interested in adopting a dog through California Pit bull Rescue (CPR) we have a few standard steps you will need to take: We ask that you fill out our Adoption Questionnaire, to help determine what type of dog(s) would best suit you. We will arrange for a "meet and greet" with your dog(s) of choice -- everyone, human or not, who will be living with the dog or interacting with him/her regularly is required to meet in person. Home checks are mandatory -- this is when we will get a first glimpse of how your prospective family member fits in and adjusts in your home. If all goes well, we start your trial adoption period with our adoption contract and donation (which includes microchipping, vaccination and spay/neuter) of $300. Depending on the situation, you will be required to check in at intervals to provide updates on the dog's transition. In most cases we will conduct a minimum of one follow-up visit to check on the dog's condition and welfare post adoption. You will also be required to provide proof of training with an approved trainer within one month of placement, before the adoption can be finalized. We also strongly recommend that you continue lifelong training with your dog. All CPR dogs have our full support post-adoption for questions, advice and feedback. Should you ever find yourself in the position of having to give up your dog, we require that you contact us first. We also strongly urge you to contact us before issues arise, so we can provide the resources you need to successfully keep your dog with you for life.
