Mulch's Story
Mulch is a 6 month old firecracker princess.
She was brought to Underdog, found on the side of the road, in rough shape.
Malnourished and weak, Mulch had a lot of trouble with rear end coordination and stability. Turns out, she tested positive for a tick-borne illness, which was easily treated.
As a sick, isolated, single puppy...she had a lot of fun to catch up on, and muscles to build.
When she entered a foster home, she blossomed!
She loves playing with other dogs, adventuring outdoors, car rides while sticking her head out the window and has no fear.
Watching her once weak, hind-end, launch herself across the room onto her current foster brothers, has been a comedic part to the day.
She snuggles hard and plays hard.
Mulch has also been around cats and plays with the kitty in her foster home, but would need slower introductions to her shyer feline friends.
Mulch is still working on her sit & stays, but is very treat/food motivated.
Although she is crate-trained...her early, isolated life, has left her a little possessive of her space and food dish. She has very tolerant foster brothers, who respect her boundaries and would be happy to get the same care, from her adoptive, forever family.
Mulch is still a puppy and is looking for love, adventure, and direction.
Her ideal family would have at least one other dog sibling to play with and share affection.
A home where she is welcomed to snuggle on doggie beds or furniture (as that has never been off-limits to her and she loves movie time), and at least the occasional outdoor adventure. She loves exploring and stays close to her people and doggie pack.
