Say hi to Mugsley! Mugsley came into TCHS due to his owner moving and not able to bring them with. Hes been sweet with staff since coming in. Mugsley is a puppy in an adult dogs body who just needs a little help getting him to be the best boy he can be and learning manners. He has a lot of energy and would benefit from long daily walks/ runs to help burn some off. Interactive toys and enrichment are a great way to burn off some energy throughout the day. When he meets new people he gets very excited and must give his new friends a hug. He has lived with school-aged kids and loved them. He has lived with another dog and did great but has been selective with which dogs he wants to be friends with. A dog-on-dog meet and greet with any resident dogs is required before Mugsley goes home. He has briefly met cats while outside and was a bit too interested in them. Because of this, Mugsley should not go to a home with cats or small critters. Slow and proper introduction over the course of multiple weeks is always recommended whenever introducing a new animal to the home. Ask staff for tips! Mugsley can get nervous about unfamiliar things. Additional socializing will help him feel more confident when new situations occur. He loves to tag along for care rides and expects a pup cup as a little treat. He is a tug-of-war champion and will defend his title against any challenger. An experienced dog owner or someone willing to seek additional training would be beneficial to help Mugsley learn the ropes.
