Muffin's Story

Muffin AKA Muffy AKA Muffler AKA the bestest girl ever!

Muffy is an incredibly athletic, insanely smart, and amazingly sweet four month old Australian Heeler/Border Collie mix pup. Two breeds known for their quick wit, athleticism, and herding abilities - Muffy is no exception. She loves to play chase, tug, flirt pole, fetch, frisbee - she loves it all. She would thrive in a home with people who enjoy an active lifestyle. She would not be ideal for someone looking for a couch potato. While she is crate trained, great at entertaining herself, and loves to cuddle - she needs ample play and enrichment time to be her best self. She's working on potty training (Michigan winters are lame for tiny pups) and does amazing going on training mats inside the house. She walks great on a harness, only pulling when something scares her. She can be timid with new people and slow to warm up, but once she knows you, you're in. She loves her people hard. She knows some basic commands - sit, stay, wait, off, "let's go" (for kennel), and has pretty good recall for a dog her age. She's working on other commands, too, made easy by her food motivated nature. She would make for an amazing sport dog - lure, dock diving, agility - you name it, she's ready to learn new things! So if you're looking for a smart, sensitive, eager, loving, energetic sidekick - look no further. This girl is truly special and whoever adopts her will quickly learn how lucky they are. Muffler is up to date on vaccines, chipped, and spayed.
