Muffin is a 5-year-old beagle looking for her forever home. She is crate-trained and working on house training. She is good with cats, other dogs and with kids. Muffin is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to become part of your family. <br/><br/>Muffin is a sweet as sugar little girl. She is crate trained, and polishing up her house and leash training but these skills will need to be completed in her forever home. Muffin enjoys running and playing in her foster home’s fenced in back yard with her full sized hound foster sisters. She keeps herself busy during the day by helping with house chores and her tail never stops wagging!! Just look her way and it starts right up. After play activity, she thoroughly enjoys cuddling up on the sofa and watching TV with the family. Muffin would do well with an active family with a fenced in back yard and welcome another dog companion. <br/><br/>Muffin’s wish right now is to celebrate her 5th birthday in her forever home. Beagles are used for safety testing of human and veterinary medicines for the same reasons that they make good pets; they're small and gentle-natured. Where does Happy Paws Rescue come into the picture? On a regular basis, research facilities have beagles that they release to us. It gives us and you a chance to give back to these sweet dogs that have contributed to the advancement of science. Please email us if you're ready to be a giant hero in the eyes of a little dog!<br/><br/>Thinking about adopting me? Here’s how:<br/>1. Fill out an application found at www.happypawsrescue.org under the *ADOPT* tab. <br/>2. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to review and respond to your application. <br/>3. Approved applicants will be invited to come meet me at a scheduled meet and greet or adoption event.<br/>4. If both you and the rescue agree that the dog you meet is a good fit for your home, you will fill out an adoption contract and exchange an adoption fee of $400 for dogs. You dog can go home the day of the Meet & Greet. <br/>5. We generally adopt to families within a 90 mile radius of our home base in Piscataway, NJ but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available. If you live beyond our geographical boundaries, we hope you will contact rescue organizations closer to your home.
