With the shelter already overflowing, she was almost immediately scheduled to be destroyed due to space. After a single glance into those eyes full of unconditional love, our rescuers started rallying. From the moment she stepped off her transportation to NE, she has given the term “unconditional love” an entirely new meaning.<br/><br/>We always knew her original name didn’t fit, a dog this sweet deserves a name equally as such. Her foster mom and dad went through many names, but her whole body lit up the first time she was addressed as “Muffin” or more commonly known in her foster home as “Miss Muffin!” - “Muffy girl” - “Muff Muff” - and “MUFFYYY!!!”. She continues to light up every single time she hears her name or any of its variants and comes darting to whomever she thinks needs her assistance.<br/><br/>Muffin’s foster mom is a dog trainer in Groton, CT who simply cannot boast about her enough. No matter who approaches, she consistently melts into everyone from adults to young kids and seeks nothing but reciprocated love. She always has an ear out for anyone who may need her comfort and is quick to take on the job. Her go-to moves include flopping onto her back for belly rubs and resting her head in your lap *just in case* you need something to pet at any given moment. Her trust with humans is unmatched, never protesting against grooming or physical care and genuinely enjoys being picked up and babied.<br/><br/><br/>Muffin is currently fostered with 3 other dogs including a big grumpy old man, a spunky adult female boxer mix, and a 9m old cattle dog puppy, all of which she absolutely adores (especially the puppy). When socializing with new dogs, her body language is motherly in a way that makes her the ultimate “babysitter”. She is quick to notice if and when a single dog is acting inappropriately and get them back on track, followed by invitations for more appropriate play.<br/><br/>One look into those perfect caramel eyes and we know that you too, will simply melt.<br/><br/>She weighs in just under 50 lbs. Her estimated age is 2 years old. <br/><br/>The adoption donation is $595.00.
