Mr. Cuddles (3 Legs) Sweet Yorkshire Terrier & Poodle Mix Tonawanda, NY

Hi, my name is Mr. cuddles, I was running the streets of KY alone, scared and hungry! Not to mention I was hit by a car and was in pain being I could no longer use my leg. A very nice dog warden picked me up and took me to a shelter where I was fed and given a warm comfy place to stay. However I was still frightened and in a lot of pain. a few days after being at he shelter they took X-rays and found I was no longer able to keep my leg. Little did I know I had only a few days here before more dogs also needed a place to stay in case their owner came looking mine did not!!! I over heard the staff talking about me saying the leg needed to come off but unless I was adopted very soon they could not all they can do is end my life so I was no longer suffering. My options were running out! But the staff quickly feel in love with my sweet demeanor and  decided to contact rescues in the north hoping one would be willing to take a 3 legged dog!! Better Days just had to help and give me a second chance at life even with 3 legs. I made a promise to the staff I will work hard and learn to walk again. I will be the best friend and companion I can be if they were willing to go the miles it takes to get me to a safe place!!  So 2 weeks after my leg was removed and I started to heal enough to take the long journey to Buffalo I was off!!

 Once in Buffalo a 2  Better Days volunteers meet me and took me to a warm friendly foster home!! There I showed them, I know they were worried I would have issues and not be able to run and play like most dogs can but I keep my promise and I just ran and played and was soooo happy to be out of harms way!!! I even surprised them by running up the stairs they THOUGHT I would need to be carried up!! Nope not me I am just as normal and happy as any other little dog. I am only 2 years old and very good with children and other dogs,, I have not been around a cat yet but will do my best to behave around them. Better days plans on cat testing me if a home with a cat is willing to adopt me!!
