Mr. Beasley Lhasa Apso Guntersville, AL

Back story: Oh my, where do we start. This mature fella found himself homeless at the ripe ole age of 11 due to his owner passing away. Facing euthanization, we jumped in to save him and give him the opportunity to live out his golden years...and he's just blossomed in his foster home.

Personality: Beasley is the sweetest. He's energetic and loving. So loving. He likes men, women and children; however, he is a bit jealous. He doesn't care for men (hubby and adult son) getting near his human women and will put on a big dog attitude. Beasley does require grooming and he is a perfect gentleman when at the groomer!

Activity level: Beasley is very active for his age and enjoys running around the fenced back yard of his foster home right along with 5 other small dogs. Beasley doesn't play much with toys but he doesn’t miss a meal! He will bark to let you know to hurry with his dinner!

Dogs and cats: he currently lives happily with 5 small dogs and 2 cats in his foster home. He was okay with the larger (95 lb) male dog...unless the big dog got near his person. Then, again, he would act like HE was a big dog, but he gets along well with all of the littles.

Children: Beasley seems to be fine with children. His foster home has a 7 and 3 yo that visit often. But these children are dog savy and know that they must respect all dogs' space. But because Beasley is an older gentleman (and we've all seen the movie "Grumpy Old Men") we prefer to find him a quiet home with maybe another dog friend.

Beasley is potty trained and doesn't bother anything in the house. He likes to sleep in his human's bed cuddled up in his own blanket.

Beasley’s adoption fee is $150. He is 15 lbs, healthy, neutered microchipped, current on vaccines, flea & heartworm preventative and recently had a dental (where they removed numerous teeth). We require a completed adoption application which will be reviewed by our adoption team. We strive to place dogs in homes that are the best match for both the dog and the adopter(s) and we take the time required to thoroughly review each application. Beasley is fostered near Guntersville, AL but we will accept applications from outside the immediate area.
