Moxie is a 3-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd/Neapolitan Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her beautiful brindle body. She came into the shelter unexpectedly pregnant and surprised everyone by giving birth to a single puppy during her stay. She needed immediate rescue, and thanks to a wonderful foster, both Mama and baby were able to get the care they needed. Now that Moxie has finished her mama duties, she’s ready to find a loving home of her own.<br/><br/>Moxie is an affectionate, people-loving girl who happily offers her paw for pets and gives plenty of kisses in return. She’s a total showstopper with her striking coat and warm, soulful eyes—paired with a personality just as stunning. In the home, she’s well-mannered and enjoys the company of other dogs. She’d also do well with a family that’s home a bit more often, as she thrives on companionship.<br/><br/>This gorgeous girl loves going on walks and would make a great adventure partner. She is friendly with other dogs her size, though she can get a little excited on leash when passing smaller pups. Because of her size and strength, Moxie would benefit from an adopter with large-breed experience who can continue helping her with basic training.<br/><br/>Moxie is truly something special, and we know she’s going to make an incredible addition to a brindle-loving, big-dog-loving family.
