Moxie's Story

Moxie is an 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel who was rescued from a life of being a breeding mom for a puppy mill. Despite her rough start at life, she is still happy and trusting of people. An ideal adopter would be patient and kind, and allow her time to adapt to a new environment. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Moxie is cute and curious and has slowly developed a quirky personality. She has made huge progress in being house broken and going outside on her own. She enjoys the company of other dogs but another dog in the home is not a requirment as long as she gets the attention she deserves. She is also good with cats. When left alone, she likes to explore and seems to enjoy trash more than her toys - though in time she may learn how wonderful toys are!

Moxie walks well on a leash with the other dogs to lead the way. She does not require a fenced in yard but has taken an interest to squirrels. Overall she is pretty chill, likes to cuddle, isn't very food motivated, rarely barks, and will be a great addition to any family.

Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
