Moxie's Story

Moxie is approximately 5 year old Labrador retriever mix. She is an energetic gal looking for her adventure partner. Moxie loves to run and loves the water. She loves running next to the ATV and loves riding in cars. On the farm, we can allow Moxie to be off leash. She listens when we redirect her and will come when we call. She has learned not to chase the horses here on the farm, but will still chase cats, so a home without cats would be best. This girl has a lot of energy so a yard and daily exercise is a must. Moxie is learning to okay on a leash, but still pulls and will need some re-education with leash skills.
Moxie is house trained and will alert you to when she needs to go out. Like all dogs, proper introduction to new people is important until she is well settled into her new family. When she first arrived, she seemed like she was searching for her family and was not very interested in us. She has now settled into our place and shows us affection. She will probably need an adjustment period to new people.
Moxie seems a bit defensive toward assertive dogs but has done well with submissive dogs. Proper introductions are a must. Moxie seems quite content without doggy companions and prefers her people. With some patience, Moxie will make an excellent companion. She just needs to know she is part of the family.
Moxie is up to date on her vaccinations and is microchipped. Contact us to meet her today.
