Moxie's Story

Moxie is an adorable little Chihuahua mix around 2 years old, weighing in at 11 pounds. She is the perfect blend of playful energy and irresistible charm. She always appears to be smiling. Moxie is the kind of girl who will happily zoom around the yard chasing squirrels and bunnies one minute, and then be curled up in your lap the next.

Moxie came to us with her littermate, Harriet. Moxie is the short haired sister. While these girls enjoy each other’s company, they are not bonded, and can be adopted separately. Moxie appreciates her space at times and can get a little grumbly when other dogs, Harriet included, are a bit too in her face or overly energetic.

She’s house trained and doing well with crate training. Like many little companions, she’ll let you know if she can hear you nearby and would rather be out with her people. Moxie is dog friendly overall, though she prefers to dine solo. She can be a bit possessive over food, so she happily eats her meals in her crate. Cats are unknown.

Moxie is a loving, easygoing companion who simply wants to be close to her humans. Her favorite things include stuffies, Benebones, cozy blankets, and, of course, a warm lap to call her own.

If you’re looking for a small dog with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a snuggly side, Moxie might just be your perfect match.

Moxie is spayed, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet Moxie, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
