Mowgli's Story

At just around 3 years old, this black-and-white spotted sweetheart has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. He arrived emaciated, dehydrated, and on the brink of collapse. Thanks to emergency care-and his own incredible spirit-Mowgli has made a remarkable recovery and is thriving.

Medium-sized and currently around 35 pounds, Mowgli is still gaining healthy weight and watching his coat grow back in. Despite all he's been through, he's remained endlessly gentle and hopeful. He may be a little hand-shy at first, but he warms up quickly and loves to please. Smart, treat-motivated, and curious, he's eager to learn and experience more of the world.

Mowgli adores other dogs and plays beautifully with them, but he'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. He's crate-trained, learning leash manners, and figuring out the comforts of home life. Because new sights and sounds can still overwhelm him, Mowgli will need patience as he builds confidence-but he's playful, loving, and already showing those signature cattle dog smarts.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who's come back stronger than ever and is ready to start his next chapter, Mowgli just might be your perfect match.

His adoption fee is $275 and he is fully vaccinated, neutered microchipped and on prevention.

Please note that we are a completely volunteer run organization and may take 48 hours to respond. Please make sure to fully complete your application. If responses are not complete, you may not be contacted due to the volume of applications.

We can only set up meet and greets once an application has been approved. Thank you for understanding.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at https://soarnash.org/adoption-process.

SAFPAW Outreach and Rescue (SOAR)'s Adoption Policy
Our goal is to make this as easy as possibly, while also ensuring that we are placing our animals in homes that fit their needs/wants/lifestyle. We start by asking you to fill out an adoption application. Once that is done, an adoption counselor will be in contact with you to discuss your application and answer any potential questions. After you are approved for adoption for a particular animal, we do a 2 week foster to adopt process. We truly want to make sure that this next home, is the forever home for that animal; therefore we give you some time to really see if the fit is in fact a match! This also helps to alleviate any pressure on potential adopters in the event that it just isn't a great match.
